Kuwait Liberation Medal – Gold (1st Class) – Miniature

The Kuwait Liberation Medal Gold (1st Class) Miniature is a miniature replica of the prestigious decoration awarded by the Government of Kuwait in recognition of service during the liberation of Kuwait in 1991.

The Gold 1st Class represents the highest grade of the Kuwaiti Liberation Medal and was reserved for senior military commanders.

This miniature replica is suitable for medal collections, commemorative presentations and historical displays associated with the Gulf War.

History of the Kuwait Liberation Medal

The Kuwait Liberation Medal was instituted in 1994 by the Government of Kuwait to recognise military personnel who participated in the liberation of Kuwait following the Iraqi invasion of August 1990.

An international coalition launched military operations to restore Kuwait's sovereignty, culminating in the liberation of the country in February 1991.

The Kuwaiti Liberation Medal was established in five classes, with the grade awarded reflecting the recipient's rank or position.

The Gold (1st Class) was the highest grade and was intended for the most senior military commanders.

Gold 1st Class Miniature Medal

This miniature version represents the Gold 1st Class decoration, featuring its distinctive gold-coloured insignia and Kuwaiti national symbolism.

It provides a smaller-scale representation of the full-size award, making it suitable for collectors and commemorative displays.

Miniature medals and decorations may also be worn with appropriate formal dress where the recipient has the necessary entitlement and permission.
