he Wider Service Medal was originally approved by Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on 11 December 2018 and subsequently authorised by Royal Warrant under His Majesty King Charles III.
The medal recognises service on designated operations that contribute to UK defence and security objectives but do not qualify for a dedicated campaign medal.
Eligibility
Personnel must complete:
- 180 days aggregated qualifying service
- On approved Wider Service Medal operations
- Service does not need to be continuous
