Royal Fleet Reserve Long Service Medal EIIR – Miniature

The Royal Fleet Reserve Long Service and Good Conduct Medal Miniature is a miniature replica of the British naval medal awarded to eligible members of the Royal Fleet Reserve in recognition of qualifying long service and good conduct.

This Queen Elizabeth II (EIIR) version represents the medal issued during the reign of Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and is suitable for formal evening wear, miniature medal mounting and commemorative displays.

History of the Royal Fleet Reserve Long Service Medal

Instituted in 1922, the Royal Fleet Reserve Long Service and Good Conduct Medal recognised eligible personnel who completed the required period of qualifying service in the Royal Fleet Reserve.

The Royal Fleet Reserve provided the Royal Navy with a reserve of trained former regular naval personnel who could be recalled to active service when required.

The medal acknowledged the continued commitment of these reservists, recognising their service and good conduct beyond their initial period of regular naval service.

The award was subsequently discontinued, making it a historic part of the British naval long service medal system.
