Queen's Police Medal (QPM) – Miniature
A miniature replica of the Queen's Police Medal (QPM), a prestigious British honour awarded to members of the police service in recognition of distinguished service or exceptional gallantry.
Instituted in 1909 as the King's Police Medal by King Edward VII, the award was subsequently known as the King's Police and Fire Services Medal before becoming the Queen's Police Medal during the reign of Queen Elizabeth II.
The Queen's Police Medal recognises outstanding contributions to policing, including exceptional leadership, dedication, professionalism and distinguished service. Historically, the medal could also be awarded for acts of gallantry, although the gallantry category was discontinued in 1954.
Recipients may use the post-nominal letters QPM.
