The King Charles III Cadet Forces Medal is awarded to recognise long and efficient service by Commissioned Officers and non-commissioned adult instructors of the UK Cadet Forces: The Army Cadet Force, the Air Training Corps, the Sea Cadet Corps and Combined Cadet Force.
The qualifying period for the medal is 12 years, with clasps awarded for further periods of service. From 1st April 1999 onwards, additional clasps are awarded for every 6 years of continued service. Up to 3 additional awards are decorated with bars on the ribbon, while 4 or more awards are decorated by a gilt rosette worn on the ribbon. This King Charles III issue features the effigy of the current monarch, continuing the proud tradition of recognising dedication to youth development and cadet training.
King Charles III Cadet Forces Medal Eligibility:
Awarded to Commissioned Officers and non-commissioned adult instructors of the UK Cadet Forces: The Army Cadet Force, the Air Training Corps, the Sea Cadet Corps and Combined Cadet Force, as well as Commissioned Officers of the New Zealand Cadet Forces. The medal is awarded for 12 years of long and efficient service. Additional clasps are issued for every 6 years of further service in the UK, recognising ongoing commitment to training and mentoring the next generation.
